Welcome to GoCar Sri Lanka. By booking or using our Car Hire Sri Lanka No Deposit, No Credit Card services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation or using our website.

1. General Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern all car rental services provided by GoCar Sri Lanka. By renting a vehicle, the customer agrees to comply with all rules, regulations, and requirements stated herein. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Driver Requirements

  • The driver must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driving license recognized in Sri Lanka.
  • For certain vehicle categories (such as SUVs or luxury cars), the minimum age may be higher.
  • A valid international driving permit (IDP) may be required for foreign visitors.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Reservations can be made directly through our website or via our customer service team.
  • No deposit or credit card is required for booking – customers can pay by debit card or cash at pickup.
  • Full payment must be made before the vehicle is released to the renter.
  • All prices displayed on the website include VAT, basic insurance, and 24/7 roadside assistance unless stated otherwise.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before pickup are free of charge.
  • No-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup may result in a partial or full charge.
  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed through the same method used for payment.

5. Vehicle Pickup and Return

  • Vehicles can be picked up and dropped off at designated locations across Sri Lanka, including Colombo, Negombo, Kandy, and Galle.
  • The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and in the same condition as at pickup.
  • Late returns may result in additional hourly or daily charges.
  • Fuel policy: cars are provided with a specific fuel level and must be returned with the same amount.

6. Insurance and Liability

  • All vehicles come with standard insurance coverage for third-party liability and basic damage protection.
  • The renter is responsible for any damage not covered by the insurance, including tire, glass, or interior damage.
  • Optional full coverage can be purchased for additional protection at the time of booking or pickup.
  • In case of an accident, the renter must immediately inform GoCar Sri Lanka and local authorities.

7. Vehicle Usage

  • Vehicles may only be used within the territory of Sri Lanka unless otherwise approved by GoCar Sri Lanka.
  • The renter agrees not to use the vehicle for illegal purposes, off-road driving, or transporting hazardous materials.
  • Smoking and carrying pets without proper containment are prohibited in rental vehicles.

8. Breakdown and Assistance

All vehicles are maintained in excellent condition. However, in the unlikely event of a breakdown, 24/7 roadside assistance is available. Please contact our support line immediately, and we will arrange repair or replacement as soon as possible.

9. Fines and Violations

The renter is fully responsible for any parking tickets, speeding fines, toll charges, or traffic violations incurred during the rental period. In cases where GoCar Sri Lanka receives official notifications, administrative fees may apply.

10. Limitation of Liability

GoCar Sri Lanka shall not be held responsible for any indirect losses, personal injury, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our vehicles or services, except where required by law.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately upon publication.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from the rental agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo.
